Words cannot express how excited I am to join your family here at Carrington! Thank you for allowing me to serve you! Below are a few details about me, but I do look forward to meeting each of you personally!
A "UNCC 49er" at heart, I completed my Bachelor's of Art degree in Psychology from the University of North Caroline at Charlotte. I continued my graduate and post-graduate studies at the University of Greensboro where I received both a Masters and Post Masters degree in Counseling Education.
My favorite pastime is spending time with my husband, our son, and daughter. We are a silly bunch who love to have fun together. I am a lover of jigsaw puzzles and brain teasers. On the weekends you may catch me traveling, reading a good book, shopping, or swimming.

7th Grade Academic/Team Pages
I grew up in Durham and am excited to still be working in my hometown with such a great group of students! I attended Wake Forest University for my undergraduate degree and continued to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for a M.Ed in School Counseling. I am committed to doing everything I can to make sure students have a great experience at school, excel academically, and thrive in their community and social lives. If you email me, please remember I go by Alex but my email needs my full name, Alexander... otherwise it gets lost in cyberspace and I will never receive it.

I am a Raleigh, NC native and attended North Carolina State University where I received my B.A. in English (2005) and M.Ed in Counselor Education (2010). Before moving to Durham, I worked as an Undergraduate Admissions Evaluator at North Carolina State University from 2006-2009. Additionally, I worked as a part of the administrative team with Duke TIP Summer Studies Program as the Psychological Counselor in 2012. My passion for student success and healthy development comes from my personal mantra “It takes a village to raise a child, so let’s raise a better village.”

I am originally from Durham and am a proud product of the DPS system. After graduating from Jordan High School, I attended Appalachian State University (ASU) where I earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. After graduating from ASU, I worked for three years in India as both an English teacher and at a university developing their service-learning program. Upon returning from India, I completed a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from UNC-Chapel Hill. I am thrilled to be working in the DPS system where I can help remove barriers to academic success for students and their families. In my spare time, I enjoy watching basketball, reading books, and going for hikes with my wonderful wife.
