Middle School Enrichment Scholarships
The College Foundation of North Carolina (CFNC) provides an Enrichment Scholarship of up to $1,000 for six selected applicants to use for any summer enrichment program held on an accredited NC college or university campus. Applicants must be at least 13 years of age at the time of the application and qualify for free/reduced lunch. The application deadline is December 1st of each year. Prudential Spirit Award
The Prudential Spirit of Community Award is for outstanding community service, particularly a self-initiated project or endeavor. Students are eligible for a state and national award, possibly totaling $1,000 or more. Winners are also awarded with a beautifully engraved medallion and a trip with a parent or guardian to Washington, DC, next spring. The application for this award is available for both Middle and High School students, with a deadline of November 1st. Touchstone Sports Camp Scholorship
This scholarships sends 26 young women to the Kellie Harper Women's Basketball Camp at North Carolina State University and 26 young men to the Roy Williams Basketball Camp at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Camps are held during the summer, and students get to work on their athletic skills with college level coaches alongside general life-skills. All rising 6th, 7th, and 8th graders can apply for the scholarship and will be judged on their academics, extra-curricular activities and an essay that must accompany the application.
