Annual Lottery Timeline for Magnet Schools and CTE Pathway Clusters are determined by Durham Public Schools central office after the start of school year. The timeline will be posted here once it is set by DPS, or you can visit DPS magnet homepage:

All applicants must have an e-mail address to create an online account and submit an application at

The application process for JDC Early College is twofold. Each applicant must submit the online application, and send/drop-off other required documents (references, transcripts, etc.) to the school. City of Medicine Academy will require an online written essay in addition to the online selection process. The rest of the magnet/pathway options only require the online application.
